Amma Sefa-Dedeh Lartey – Africa Regional Director, Reach for Change

Ms. Amma Sefa-Dedeh Lartey leads the Africa region of Reach for Change, a venture philanthropist which runs accelerators, incubators and hubs for social entrepreneurs in key growth markets including Ghana, Tanzania, Rwanda, Democratic Republican of the Congo, Chad, Senegal and Ethiopia.

Reach for Change identifies and invests in social entrepreneurs who have the highest potential to improve the world for children, women and youth. Entrepreneurs receive funding, training, coaching and more  to develop and scale their organizations to deliver measurable social impact in a way that is financially sustainable. The programs are delivered with partners such as telecoms company Millicom, entertainment broadcaster Modern Times Group (MTG) and social sector partners such as UNICEF.

Lartey is co-founder of the African Social Entrepreneurship Network (ASEN). ASEN supports entrepreneurs and other organizations in the Social Enterprise space, in various African countries, to set up and grow affiliate national networks to develop vibrant national social enterprise ecosystems. Lartey is also co-founder of SE Ghana, the Ghana affiliate of ASEN.

Lartey is a social entrepreneur and has a passion for children’s rights.  She graduated with a BA from the University of Ghana and holds an MBA from Babson College. She is a Fellow of the fifth class of the Africa Leadership Initiative-West Africa and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
