Welcome to Wednesday😍🥳 the 8th of March and the 67th Day of 2023. Today, in celebration of the International Women’s Day with the theme: “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality”, we are looking at the 7 EFFECTIVE WAYS WOMEN CAN USE INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY TO ADVANCE GENDER EQUALITY.

1. Closing the Gender Gap in STEM: Women can use innovation and technology to close the gender gap in STEM fields. This can involve supporting and promoting women in STEM education and careers, as well as developing programs and initiatives that encourage girls to pursue STEM interests.

2. Addressing Bias in AI and Algorithms: Women can advocate for the development of fair and unbiased AI and algorithms that do not reinforce existing gender stereotypes or discriminate against women.

3. Using Data and Analytics to Inform Policy: Women can use data and analytics to identify and address issues related to gender inequality, such as gender pay gaps, underrepresentation of women in leadership positions, and gender-based violence.

4. Encouraging Diversity and Inclusion: Women can encourage diversity and inclusion in the workplace, especially in the technology industry, by promoting diversity hiring practices, supporting employee resource groups, and advocating for policies that support work-life balance.

5. Promoting Entrepreneurship: Women can use innovation and technology to start and grow their own businesses, promoting entrepreneurship and economic empowerment for women.

6. Providing Access to Technology and Digital Literacy: Women can work to ensure that all women have access to technology and the digital literacy skills needed to succeed in the digital age.

7. Building Global Networks: Women can use technology to connect with and learn from other women around the world, building global networks that support and empower women and advance gender equality.

Wishing all the outstanding hardworking women a happy international women’s day from us all at WomanRising.
