WomanRising, a leading organization dedicated to empowering women in business, successfully hosted the second edition of the WomanRising 5000 Business Growth Training on June 20, 2023. The event took place at the esteemed Basel Mission Auditorium, bringing together approximately 115 dynamic women entrepreneurs from various sectors and industries.
The training program aimed to equip women entrepreneurs with essential skills and knowledge to accelerate their businesses towards sustainable growth. The event featured a lineup of accomplished facilitators who shared their expertise on critical topics such as Personal Branding, Business Development and Management, and Business Sustainability (ESG).
The training sessions were led by renowned industry professionals, ensuring the participants received comprehensive and practical insights. Emma Tandoh, Managing Partner of Outspoken Edge, delivered a compelling session on Personal Branding, guiding attendees on how to showcase their unique strengths and establish a distinctive presence in the market.
Tweneboah Koduah, CEO of HiPAG, brought her wealth of experience to the training, delivering an informative session on Business Development and Management. Participants gained valuable strategies and techniques for scaling their businesses, improving operational efficiency, and maximizing growth potential.
Ekow Mensah, CEO of TANOE, facilitated an engaging training session on Business Sustainability (ESG). He emphasized the importance of integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance factors into business practices, enabling participants to build resilient and socially responsible enterprises.
In addition to the training sessions, the event featured Experience Sharing Sessions with a panel of accomplished women entrepreneurs. Adowa Fosua from Women’s Haven, Rita Krampah of Paradyse Homecare, Louis Lamis of Liezar – Legacy, Ama Duncan of Fabolus Woman, Francisca Taylor of Perfect Health Ghana, Rebecca Mauro of Luv FM, and Sonia Adjorlolo of Sonia Inspires shared their success stories, challenges, and insights, inspiring and motivating the attendees.
The event commenced promptly at 9:00 a.m., providing participants with a full day of impactful learning and networking opportunities. The well-structured agenda included a refreshing coffee break at 11:40 a.m., allowing attendees to connect, exchange ideas, and rejuvenate. A delightful lunch was served at 2:00 p.m., fostering further networking and informal discussions among participants.
Furthermore, 20 women entrepreneurs had the opportunity to exhibit their products at the training, showcasing their innovative offerings to the engaged audience. This exhibition served as a platform for participants to explore potential collaborations, connect with industry peers, and gain visibility for their brands.
As the event drew to a close at 5:30 p.m., the participants left with renewed inspiration, actionable knowledge, and a strengthened network of like-minded entrepreneurs. The second edition of the WomanRising 5000 Business Growth Training marked another milestone in empowering women entrepreneurs in Kumasi, providing them with the tools and support necessary to thrive in their respective industries.
