These women are passionate about their work, diligent at making a difference and resilient through the changing scenes of life overcoming challenges and changing the status quo.
These are 5 of the phenomenal women who inspire in Ghana:
Mary A. Serwaa Dickson – Mary is the founder of WeMompreneurs; a community focused on inspiring and encouraging mothers to pursue their dreams. She is the Media & Marketing Manager of Nalo Solutions Limited; a thriving technology company serving corporate clients on the Ghana Club 100 list.
She is the founder of WOM Journals and have produced and sold over 600 differently customized journals. She is into Strategy Development, Digital Marketing and Content Creation helping businesses especially mom-owned businesses to maximise social media to grow their brands and businesses.
She combines all her engagement with being a wife, a mother, a sister, a friend, a mentor and a role model to many who are inspired by her passion, work and dedicated to helping others succeed.
Joyce M. Sackitey-Ahiadorme – Described as Fierce, Fabulous, Funny, Firm and Fascinating, Joyce is the communication professional who is dearly loved by many and is inspiring to even more people. She is currently the Head of Transformation & Communications with VLISCO Ghana Cluster coming into the job with experience as the Transformation & Internal Communication with Fanmilk, Country Sustainability, Community Affairs & Corporate Communications Manager with Voltic (GH) Limited a subsidiary of Coca-Cola Bottling Company and Corporate Communications Manager with Accra Brewery Limited. Joyce has worked with Business & Financial Times, MediaLYNX Limited amongst other notable places.
Joyce is the Founder of Girls Goal Getters; a non-profit community aimed at harnessing the docile power of women to deliberately inspire, set goals and be an advocate for change. Through this organisation and others such as The WomanRising Network; Joyce supports, speaks to, mentors and coaches several women to succeed in their careers, businesses and lives in general.
Samuella Baah – Samuella is an experienced Pharmacist with over 10 years’ experience working with an international pharmaceutical company and currently helping to set up and properly manage community pharmacies providing top-notch drugs and support to women to make healthy life choices.
She is a Certified Lead Coach & Trainer at The Capacity Development Academy providing tailored coaching and training services to individuals to enhance their income and be debt-free. She is the Team Lead & Women Coach of Kindle&Bloom; financial stewardship community helping women to cultivate a healthy saving & investment habit.
Her passion is to help working millennials achieve financial wellness through Personal Development, Career Development, Financial Literacy and Business Knowledge in simple & practical ways that suits the Ghanaian & African Context. She’s done all this running a fashion accessories business as well as being a wife, mother, sister, friend, mentor and role model to many people.
Adeline Esi Sutherland – Adeline is currently the Growth Marketing Lead for The Room; a global tech company connecting top tech talent to extraordinary opportunities for impact. She is a Business Module Lead for UNICEF StartUp Lab Accelerator Program, a project by UNICEF in collaboration with MEST Africa that is supporting young people across Ghana who are generating entrepreneurial and innovative business ideas to support their communities.
Adeline rose through the ranks working in L’Oreal; a global beauty company from Brand Manager to category Manager and finally to Marketing Manager; Maybelline New York. She was the Brands Manager for Skin Cleansing in Unilever.
Adeline serves as a mentor on the Mentoring Café helping young people, professionals and entrepreneurs through mentorship to build their capacity for growth and excellence. Through her work with The Room she engages young people in their pursuit of tech careers and provides them avenues to attract opportunities and build their experience.
Rebecca Afful – Rebecca is an Administrative Professional with over a decade experience working with multinational companies and International Non-profit organizations such as Procredit Saving & Loans, World Vision, Canadian High Commission, International Water Management Institute (IWMI) and Delegation of European Union to Ghana.
In her quest to associate with a body of Administrative Professionals in Ghana and finding none, she founded the Network of Administrative Professionals of Ghana which is currently a 200 member strong support community of resilient and effective Administrative Professionals in Ghana.
In her efforts at supporting individuals seeking career satisfaction and meaningful working life as a Career Counsellor, she set up Career Wisdom with Becca; a weekly Facebook Live session that provides tips and strategies to help sky rocket the career of participants.
